Trade One: 15 x SPX 5500/5495 Put Credit Spread (Scalp Strategy Trade)
Trade Two: 20 x SPX 5490/5495 Call Credit Spread (Scalp Strategy Trade)
As shown, I decided to scale out of my position throughout the day. I took 10/25 spreads off the table at $1.90/ea. Unfortunately, the market turned on me and the rest of the position was bought back at breakeven (15 @ $2.40/ea). This means I had a REALIZED GAIN OF +$650 (+11%).
As shown above, Trade One quickly went bust on me. For once, I was disciplined and cut my loser when the system told me I should. I was able to get an exit at $3.30/ea from a $2.30 entry -- Meaning I started the day with $1,500 realized loss. The market continued to breakdown, so I played the other side with Trade Two. I sold the calls at $2.40/ea. I took half the profits at 1.00/ea (+$1,400) and the other half at $0.50/ea (+$1,900). This means I had a REALIZED GAIN OF +$3,300 (+69%).
Total Return: +$1,800 (before fees)
