Trade One: 4 x SPX 5180/5175 Put Credit Spread
Trade Two: 8 x SPX 5190/5195 Call Credit Spread (Protective Hedge)
Trade One was meant to be the only trade of the day. When the short side was tested, I turned the position into an uneven Iron Condor with Trade Two. I thought I was being smart, but after thinking about it, I was taking on more risk than I anticipated. Luckily, I was given the opportunity to get out for breakeven, so I took it. Live to fight another day!
Total Return: +$40 (before fees)

SPY missed & QQQ hit
The Trump-China-Trade announcement from the NYT knocked me out of my position. The CCS's were sold at $1.80/ea and I was forced to buy them backl at $4.40 -- This means my realized loss was $3,120 :(
The hedge did exactly what hedge plays are meant to do. It balanced me out! These PCS's were sold at $0.85/ea and expired worthless -- THIS MEANS MY REALIZED GAIN WAS $2,975!
