Trade One: 20 x SPX 5545/5540 Put Credit Spread (Scalp Strategy Trade)
This wasn't a profitable trade, but I'm actually really happy with it. I attempted to ride the prevailing trend. The trend unfortunately changed, and I was forced to cut my position. I was disciplined and stuck to my plan. My only critique was I should have cut about 5 minutes earlier than I did. Trade one's average entry was $2.20/ea and the average exit was $2.90/ea -- This means the realized loss was $1,400.
Trade Two: 30 x SPX 5540/5535 Put Credit Spread (Scalp Strategy Trade)
Trade Two is a perfect example of why you cut your losers early. You could fairly point out if I had Trade One, it would have made money. You're right, but what if the market never recovered? What if it kept selling off? My point is that after I cut my loser due to the risk being breached, I was able to ride the following trend. Trade Two had an average entry of $2.50/ea. I took 1/3 of the position off the table at $1.25/ea, the next third at $0.75/ee, and the final portion at $0.30/ea -- This means my REALIZED GAIN WAS $5,200!
Trade One Return: -$1,400
Trade Two Return: +$5,200
Total Return: +$3,800 (before fees)

SPY missed & QQQ hit
The Trump-China-Trade announcement from the NYT knocked me out of my position. The CCS's were sold at $1.80/ea and I was forced to buy them backl at $4.40 -- This means my realized loss was $3,120 :(
The hedge did exactly what hedge plays are meant to do. It balanced me out! These PCS's were sold at $0.85/ea and expired worthless -- THIS MEANS MY REALIZED GAIN WAS $2,975!
