A solid end to a great week! Today wasn't my best trading day, but I don't have an issue with my performance. I was being defensive, which is good end-of-week tactic in my mind. Piper told me to be bullish, so sold call spreads at $1.20/ea. The market was trending in my favor and then started to show some weakness, so I bought them back at $0.60/ea -- This means my REALIZED GAIN WAS $1,200. If I held until close, I could have doubled my gains. But hey, I was protecting my capital.

Total Return: +$1,200 (before fees)

SPY missed & QQQ hit
The Trump-China-Trade announcement from the NYT knocked me out of my position. The CCS's were sold at $1.80/ea and I was forced to buy them backl at $4.40 -- This means my realized loss was $3,120 :(
The hedge did exactly what hedge plays are meant to do. It balanced me out! These PCS's were sold at $0.85/ea and expired worthless -- THIS MEANS MY REALIZED GAIN WAS $2,975!
