Trade One: 15 SPX 5,610/5,605 Put Credit Spreads (Improper Piper Strategy)
This was a very silly trade. I made the classic mistake of trading before my entry signal fired. I assumed I could make extra money by frontrunning what I thought would be a bullish signal. The only issue is that Piper fired a bearish signal. So basically, I lost a lot of money trying to make a few extra bucks. I sold the PCS at $0.90 and was forced to buy them back at $1.90/ea -- This means my realized loss was $1,500. A painful lesson for sure.
Trade Two: 20 SPX 5,630/5,635 Call Credit Spreads (Piper Strategy)
When I finally got on the right side of Piper, I was rewarded by getting pulverized by the market (FML!). I sold this CCS at $1.10/ea and was forced to cover at $2.10/ea -- This means my realized loss was $2,000.
Trade Three: 20 SPX 5,630/5,625 Put Credit Spreads (Titled Trade)
Trade Three was not a quality trade. It was a lucky trade. In fact, I'm lucky to have not blown out my account today. I'm not sure what I was thinking or doing, but I'm happy lady luck was on my side at the end of the day. I sold this PCS at $2.70/ea and bought them back at an average of $0.65/ea -- This means my REALIZED GAIN WAS $4,100!
Trade One Return: -$1,500
Trade Two Return: -$2,000
Trade Three Return: $4,100
Total Return: +$600 (before fees)
